Our Story
Stoneworks began in August 2020, created by StoneyStoner as an ambitious experiment in player-driven worldbuilding. What started as a small, invite-only project quickly evolved into a full-scale civilization server centered around nations, politics, and storytelling. As the community grew, Stoneworks expanded into multiple worlds—most notably Rathnir (2020), Eldham (2021), and later rotating and experimental servers—each introducing new mechanics, conflicts, and eras of history. Over time, the server developed into one of Minecraft’s largest roleplay and geopolitics experiences, hosting hundreds of nations and thousands of player-created stories, with wars, alliances, and cultures shaped entirely by its players. Today, Stoneworks stands as a living world—constantly evolving, shaped by its community, and defined by the history players create every day.
Stoneworks is a Minecraft geopolitical roleplay server where players create nations, form alliances, wage wars, and build their own stories in a persistent, player-driven world.
Not at all. You can dive in as casually or seriously as you want. Whether you enjoy building, trading, PvP, or storytelling, there’s a place for you.
Players can create or join nations, claim land, establish governments, and interact with others through diplomacy or conflict. Every nation is fully run by its players.
PvP is a core part of Stoneworks, especially during wars—but it’s not mandatory. You can focus on professions, economy, or roleplay if combat isn’t your thing.
Stoneworks focuses heavily on player-driven history. There are no scripted outcomes—wars, alliances, and major events are all shaped by the community.
Stoneworks occasionally resets the world and begins again. In total there have been 2 major wipes since the servers creation which were, the beginning of Rathnir, and the beginning of Abexilas (current world).
